An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual with a high level of organisational, communication and administrative skills.
You will be part of a dynamic team who are responsible for supporting the delivery of all elements of the Trust strategy and specific programmes and projects. The team also ensures that the appropriate frameworks and processes are in place to co-ordinate and manage the annual operational / business planning process.
This is a permanent opportunity for an engaging, motivated person who has the ability to work unsupervised, providing high quality and effective clerical and administrative support to the Planning and Strategy Team. We are looking for an individual who is IT proficient, with plenty of drive and initiative. If you want to be part of a high performing, very friendly team, we’d love to hear from you.
Our vision for Single Corporate Services
Isle of Wight NHS Trust (IWT) and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust (PHU) have a shared vision of a single corporate service across our two organisations, supported by a single set of identical systems and processes, under joint leadership, to drive significant efficiencies, improve employee experience, and return time to patient care.
This vacancy is part of the Single Corporate Services Division.
Why are we changing the way we deliver Corporate Services?
Working as a partnership, both IWT and PHU have a shared vision for excellence in care for our patients and communities; with a set of strategic aims underpinning how we will achieve this. The creation of a single corporate service is essential for us to support our clinical and operational services, and our wider transformation programme.
The single corporate service is delivered across both organisation. You may be based at either IWT or PHU and individuals may be required to undertake business travel between sites. For leaders managing staff across multi-site locations, you will need to be visible and provide in person leadership. The arrangements and frequency will be agreed locally.
The right candidate will play a key role in supporting the Strategy function across the breadth of its portfolio. This will range from providing administrative support to:
• The Joint Business Case Review Committee (BCRC) process.
• Co-ordination of the Trust level projects and Benefits management system.
• The creation of the annual operational plan.
• The delivery of Trust’s Strategy through Strategic Initiatives, True Norths and Breakthrough Objectives.
• A portfolio of the programmes and projects.
