Overview
Due to our continuing growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen within Arcus FM for a Project Manager capable of ensuring projects are delivered to the agreed standard of quality and within the specified constraints of risk, cost and time.
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager with Arcus, you’ll develop project proposals and business cases in line with user requirements and business needs, and manage multiple concurrent projects from cradle to grave. Other responsibilities include:
1. Deliver projects in line with the Programme governance and control structure
2. Deliver projects in line with Arcus FM policies, quality and health and safety management systems
3. Manage the project on a day to day basis
4. Execute the plan, monitoring progress and taking the necessary corrective actions
5. Manage external third party suppliers
6. Help define and actively manage the critical success factors for the project
7. Manage and maintain project related documentation to include administrative duties
8. Manage the expectations of the business areas and various stakeholders (internal and external)
9. Structuring and defining projects from initiation through to project closedown
10. Define and implement overall project governance structure (project meetings i.e. steering group) and provide clear roles and responsibilities and objectives for the project team and key stakeholders
11. Plan the project, agree the plan with project board, and prepare detailed plans for each stage
12. Report progress at agreed intervals to the project board, advising the board immediately if plan tolerance levels are exceeded and, if appropriate, recommending the premature termination of the project
13. Ensure that project produces the required deliverables to defined standards of quality within agreed cost, time and other constraints
14. Agree the technical and quality strategy with the project board
15. Build, lead and motivate the project management team
16. Identify and acquire required resources to deliver project outputs
17. Managing the cost and benefit side of the budget and gaining agreement from both the business Sponsor/Customer and Finance Manager.
18. Owning and managing project budgets from initiation through to close down
19. Identify, assess, evaluate and manage the risks and issues that could impact project outputs and objectives
20. Ensure that benefits management is embedded within the project management approach and there is a focus on delivery of business performance from project outputs
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a lead/management role within the project environment, and a track record of successful project delivery. Other requirements include:
1. Association of Project Management (APM)
2. Prince2
3. Project Management Institute (PMI)
4. Academic qualification related to Project Management
5. Experience of working within a facilities management industry will be beneficial
6. Experience of implementing workforce scheduling system/workflow based systems
7. Experience of 3rd party supplier(s) relationship management
8. Intermediate knowledge of project planning processes and techniques and project constraints
9. Intermediate knowledge of project management methodology, potential sources of risk and their impact on project success and project complexity
10. Strong problem solving, stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict management, budget control and planning skills
11. Strong communication (verbal, written, listening, presenting), quality management, monitoring and reporting skills
12. Ability to confidently deliver presentations to key stakeholders, facilitate workshops and meetings
