A high-tech manufacturer in the Cardiff area requires a Maintenance Team Leader to join their growing team. You will enjoy a four-day workweek (Monday – Thursday) with alternating morning and afternoon shifts (no night shifts).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the maintenance team, aiming to minimize downtime
Promote health and safety by ensuring compliance with regulations and leading by example
Recruit, train, and support maintenance staff to achieve high performance standards
Assess equipment reliability and implement improvements to reduce downtime and in-process scrap
Manage effective maintenance scheduling, balancing preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure high plant reliability
Ensure maintenance requirements are integrated into new process and product developments
Maintain compliance with company quality standards, GDP, and GMP requirements
Experience/Qualifications:
ONC/HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Experienced Maintenance Engineer
Background in highly regulated industry would be beneficial
Familiarity with problem-solving tools and their application
Knowledge of PPM and TPM techniques
Strong teamwork and leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
