As one of our Drupal developers, you will be responsible for producing best-in-class experiences for outstanding organisations such as The University of Edinburgh, Royal Botanical Gardens Kew, Blue Cross for Pets and Parkinsons UK.
You will be working in a multidisciplinary squad focused on agile delivery working alongside developers, quality assurance analysts and delivery managers to ship high quality code on time and within budget. Building innovative digital experience platforms based on Drupal but working across a wide range of complimentary technologies such as Storybook to follow a component based approach to development, utilising libraries like React for highly dynamic user interfaces.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK. We encourage you to work where you feel most effective. That may be at home, from one of our office hubs or a combination of both. The choice is yours. However you choose to work, you need to be comfortable working with your colleagues remotely. Some travel to client sites or occasional team meetings in the UK may also be expected for this role. This would be for ceremonies such as kick-off meetings, rather than on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities Produce high-quality Drupal solutions from solution design to coding and testing.
Writes great code, and pursues this with profound interest.

Develop highly responsive, accessible and performant markup.
Feed into design systems/component libraries working closely with creative/UX team members and client stakeholders.
Utilise Drupal's theme layer and twig templating or React to support optimised content delivery
Contribute to the scoping, planning, and documentation of projects.
Motivate and inspire junior members and peers in your area of expertise by getting involved in community of practice initiatives
Work collaboratively with other developers providing support, mentorship and code reviews
Understands the dynamics and value of Agile and supports delivery managers by engaging with our agile principles and development practices.
Communicate technical concepts at an appropriate level for mixed audiences, including non-technical clients.

Our Tech Stack At manifesto we work hard on diversifying our Tech Stack to keep pace with a rapidly evolving industry so use a wide range of technologies, this role will be within our DX division and focus on Drupal development.
While Drupal will be your bread and butter on a day-to-day basis in providing innovative solutions for our client's increasingly complex needs, you may be asked to implement Drupal as a headless CMS and build a decoupled front end opening up your frontend toolchain. As such you will typically use:

About You
Essential Experience More than any specific list of skills or qualifications, we want engineers who love technology, and contribute their opinions and drive through the entire development lifecycle. We want individuals who bring something unique, in technical knowledge, experience or mindset.
Strong Drupal credentials are a must. Additionally, we would expect you to have experience in:
Proven on-the-job experience of commercial web development using Drupal, Javascript and CSS.
Drupal's theme layer, configuration management and site building
Understands the importance of unit testing and familiar with testing libraries and frameworks.
Developing accessible markup
Developing responsive user interfaces
Use of modern JS libraries like React, Vue or a similar
Use of component libraries such as Storybook
Git and team based workflows such as using pipelines
Ability to produce and review high quality, clean code.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Desirable skills and experience Broader experience (or the desire) of building decoupled front ends using Next.js
