We are seeking a dedicated Nurse to join Alcohol Care Team in Royal London Hospital In this full-time, permanent role, you'll provide a comprehensive treatment service to individuals with alcohol use problems whilst operating within the framework of Royal London Alcohol Team to support individuals on their journey to recovery, improving their quality of life and fostering positive change. The post holder will be expected to provide clinical expertise and knowledge, demonstrating a sound understanding of the issues related to the identification, assessment, treatment and management of the client group. We are looking to appoint a dynamic and skilled substance misuse/addiction nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and willing to develop nursing leadership, with an ability to positively influence clinical pathways and an understanding of the issues and challenges associated with delivering patient care. This service operates 6 days a week (Mon - Sun) 08:00-18:00hrs. Main duties of the job You must be enthusiastic and passionate about substance misuse/addiction and delivering high standards of patient centred care and be a professional role model for the areas of responsibility; ensuring patients receive a positive experience in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will take the lead on projects as designated by the Lead Nurse. A keen interest in screening, identification and brief advice will be needed. It is essential that you are flexible and have a good understanding of the challenges in relation to the areas of responsibility and the skills required to support patients, families, carers and staff. You must also demonstrate excellent organisational skills, support the lead nurse and work effectively within a team. You must be forward thinking and be open to developing and progressing new ideas and innovative ways of working. You will provide a timely response to referrals into the Alcohol Care Team and undertake assessment using standardized assessment tools.
