Brabourne CEP School is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful school team. This position will predominantly be providing additional personalised support for a child in our Year 3/4 class, but the successful candidate may sometimes be working with other children in a small group. This post is specifically to support the child with their learning, in order for them to successfully access the curriculum. The post is therefore a temporary position linked to the needs of the child.
Candidates are expected to be skilled communicators, positive, professional, fun, and caring. Previous experience of working with children would be of huge benefit.
We are looking for someone who:
1. will support and scaffold children’s learning and development both in and out of the classroom
2. has the ability to build excellent relationships with children, colleagues, and parents
3. has knowledge of how to develop the whole child
4. is confident to work independently and can use their initiative
5. enjoys working as part of a team
In return we can offer you:
1. a friendly and committed staff
2. well-behaved and motivated pupils
3. great opportunities to continue your own learning and development
Successful candidates would need to uphold our school ethos and core Christian values and prove that they can make an invaluable contribution to our children's education and development. Pay is Kent range 3 (Approx. £10,666.18 Pro-rata, full-time equivalent is £23,337.00). Hours are 8.45am to 12.45pm.
As long as funding is secured, there is a strong chance that the role will continue into the following academic year. There may also be opportunities for additional hours in the afternoon.
Visits to the school are essential, where possible, as part of the recruitment process – please contact headteacher@brabourne.kent.sch.uk to find out more about the role and to arrange a visit.
