FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
Northampton area base (Corby / Kettering / Northamptonshire) - UK and European Coverage
Salary: cGBP36k + generous benefits + van + exceptional allowances + expenses - genuine realistic 1st year earnings GBP55k-GBP60k
Our client is based near Northampton and is part of an established Group that specializes in the provision of bespoke materials handling solutions to a diverse range of customers and industry sectors worldwide. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic and multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to complement their established and professional engineering service team installing and maintaining a range of handling solutions and supporting customers at locations throughout the UK and internationally as required.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake a broad range of both reactive and PPM activities on a range of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
2. Thrive within a customer-facing environment ensuring high levels of quality customer service and satisfaction.
3. Carry out service calls on a planned preventative and reactive basis at customer premises.
4. Perform Preventive Service Maintenance and repair of customer's site equipment and other manufacturer's products and systems.
5. Communicate activity and requirements with the customer in a clear and concise manner.
6. Report via job sheets the activities carried out and faults found during service.
7. Train customers and their technicians in the use of and service and maintenance of equipment.
8. Assist in the installation and commissioning of machines.
9. Work with little or no site supervision while being flexible in approach.
Requirements:
1. Experience working in a similar Plant and Equipment arena, preferably within a maintenance environment.
2. Experience with Materials Handling Equipment and Automatic process equipment with a solid mechanical background.
3. Multi-skilled experience and comfort working in various locations and varied environments.
4. A full UK driving licence is essential.
5. Flexibility to work additional hours as required to ensure customer satisfaction.
