Deputy Care Home Manager - Lorimer House

Qualifications Required:
The Deputy Manager must be a registered Nurse with an active NMC Pin. A Registered Managers Award or an SVQ4 in Care and/or Management would be an advantage. Applicants should have at least two years' experience at Charge Nurse level or above.
Role & Responsibilities
* Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of holistic person-centred care.
* Maintain and monitor high-quality clinical care for our residents.
* Supervise junior staff and teach qualified and unqualified staff.
* Take responsibility as the lead care provider for the Home, working with minimal supervision in assessing all relevant care needs.
* Supervise, promote, and deliver high standards of person-centred care for all residents.
* Assist the home manager and deputise in the overall management of the care home as required.
* Promote business values in day-to-day practice.
* Influence the reputation of the home positively, communicating professionally with visitors, including family, friends, and external stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance within the home, managing the implementation of company policies and regulatory requirements, striving for the best possible care rating.
* Maintain clinical excellence by role modelling high standards of care and ensuring legal, regulatory, and best practice guidelines are followed.
* Take on an active leadership role, being a visible leader in the home supporting the operation of a 24-hour Care Home.
* Oversee the induction of all new employees and participate in the training development of the team.
* Assist with employee appraisals, supervisions, and career pathways.
* Participate in recruitment, assessment, and supervision of the team, supporting the manager in all aspects of employee relations.
