About the team and role
Warwickshire Family Information Service (FIS) provides information guidance and signposting about a wide range of subjects for families and professionals working with families in Warwickshire.
As an integral part of the Early Support Service in Warwickshire we work closely with professionals both inside and outside the council to ensure families receive the information and support they need at the earliest possible opportunity. This includes ensuring digital information is accurate and up to date via webpages and social media, managing a confidential helpline service and providing face to face support for families.
Whilst working as part of our FIS Officer team, your week will be split between supporting families on our helpline and visiting community venues. We would welcome candidates with an interest in offering outreach support to families in the Nuneaton and Bedworth area, although the office base is in Warwick.
Now is an exciting time to be a part of our team as Warwickshire has been chosen as one of the seven areas to deliver the Families First for Children Pathfinder Programme. Join us to help shape and influence the future of children's social care together.
If you want to build strong relationships and connections with families, join Warwickshire’s Children and Families service.
Our Offer to you includes:
* Supportive managers who provide recognition and a robust supervision policy focussed on wellbeing and workload.
* Full reimbursement of Social Work England annual fee.
* A Volunteering & Wellbeing Day in addition to generous annual leave and an additional day at Christmas.
* We also offer a Refer a Friend package if you're talking about a return to us with an ex colleague/friend.
