HR Assistant

Synced is supporting a client in the Property sector to find a HR Assistant to join our team and provide essential HR administrative support across all areas of People Operations.
This role is based at the Leicester Head Office with an element of hybrid work.
Outline duties and responsibilities -
People Operations & HR Support
* Provide administrative support across all areas of HR.
* Maintain and update electronic personnel records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Prepare employment contracts, issue letters of variance, and manage employment documentation.
* Handle employee references and manage new starter onboarding, including Right to Work checks.
* Ensure timely completion of DBS checks and probation processes.
* Respond to basic HR, payroll, and system queries, escalating issues when needed.
Benefits Administration
* Manage employee benefits, ensuring new starters and leavers are processed efficiently.
* Liaise with benefits providers and assist in reviewing benefit options.
* Keep employees informed about benefits and prepare reports on benefits spending.
Payroll Support
* Assist with payroll preparation and ensure accurate processing.
* Work with the external payroll bureau to ensure all information (overtime, deductions, personal details, etc.) is correctly captured.
* Support with issuing P45s and handling payroll-related queries.
Learning & Development
* Maintain learning records and track training activity.
* Support the organisation of internal and external training sessions.
* Assist with tracking training budgets and ensuring alignment with business needs.
What We’re Looking For:
CIPD Level 3 qualification (working towards or willingness to work towards it)
Experience in HR administration and working with HRIS databases.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
