ENGLISH TEACHER NEEDED
Location: Birmingham
Length of Contract: MINIMUM of 2 full terms
Pay Rate: PAYED TO SCALE
Qualifications and Professional Development:
• Qualified Teacher status
• Recent relevant Teaching experience
• Evidence of further professional training or development
• Evidence of a sound awareness of safeguarding
Experience
• Evidence of having worked within an environment that safeguards children
• Successful appropriate experience of teaching within KS3 and KS4
• Recent experience in a mainstream or special school
• Experience of teaching English at a good or outstanding level
• Experience/willingness to teach across a range of National Curriculum subjects
• Experience of teaching or supporting young people with SEND and/or SEMH
Skills & Abilities
• High level of written and oral communication skills
• Good organisational skills
• Good inter-personal skills
• Ability to develop the speaking and listening of others.
• Ability to relate effectively to young people, staff, parents, and other stakeholders
• Ability to work in a team reliably and flexibly
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to cope with challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
• Ability to be flexible and work at different sites
• Ability to teach good and/or outstanding lessons

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
