Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) : Data Centre
Location: Farnborough
Salary: Up to GBP47,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a focus on HVAC systems to join a dynamic team working on a state:of:the:art Data Centre project in Farnborough. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of HVAC systems critical to the functioning of the data centre environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and components within the data centre.
* Ensure all HVAC systems are operating efficiently and meet performance standards.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and implement effective solutions.
* Monitor and manage energy usage and sustainability practices.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as industry standards.
* Work closely with other engineering teams to support data centre operations.
* Maintain detailed records of all work and repairs undertaken.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on HVAC systems, ideally within data centres, commercial, or industrial sectors.
* Strong understanding of HVAC installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of building systems, including air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
* Excellent problem:solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline) are preferred.
