PURPOSE OF ROLE:
This role is aligned to support our Financial Planning and Advice business. Reporting to the Financial Planning Marketing Manager, the Content Writer - plays a crucial role in the team with a focus on client engagement. This role is dedicated to creating educational, topical and evergreen content with a focus on Financial Planning topics such as inheritance tax planning, retirement, gifting and estate planning, as well as topical responses to macroeconomic or regulatory change – such as the Spring Budget Announcement. Working across various outputs, the primary objective is to provide peace of mind and education to our client base. The content should also drive organic search volumes up by providing valuable, optimized content that educates and engages our target audience in the realm of financial planning and advice.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop content strategies that align with business goals.
• have strong market knowledge to create accurate, informative, and engaging content
• Own the content roadmap, planning and content management
• Write high-quality, informative articles, guides, presentations and client comms around relevant financial planning topics.
• Create evergreen content that remains relevant and valuable over time.
• Review, edit and improve existing digital content to improve authority and quality
• Develop educational resources that help readers understand complex financial concepts and make informed investment decisions.
• Craft content that engages the target audience, encourages interaction, and addresses their questions and concerns.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote content through various channels, including social media and email marketing.
• Monitor the performance of content using analytics tools and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential
• Proven experience as a content writer with a specialism in financial services
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices would be desirable.
• Knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and the regulatory environment.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
