We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Team Leader to join our busy warehouse based at Kirton. You will be part of a small team and be pivotal in orchestrating the daily warehouse operations. Your day-to-day role is a combination of warehouse and office-based duties completing relevant administration tasks as well as liaising with customers and hauliers to coordinate orders, goods transfers, deliveries & collections. The operation is fast paced so you must adapt to our way of working. You will become an integral part of the team and will be motivated to make a difference when you are on shift.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting the warehouse Supervisor with administrative duties
* Oversee daily delivery schedules and update the arrival board
* Liaise with Haulage companies to ensure all deliveries and collections are in line with planned requirements.
* Create delivery paperwork and all transport documents required and interact with drivers
* Provide problem solving guidance on any operational issues such as late changes to the daily / weekly plan
* Organise drivers on site to ensure loads are received correctly, unloaded & loaded accurately
* Handle customer issues effectively and escalate when necessary
* Lead & manage the day-to-day activities of the warehouse team and plan duties accordingly
* Assist the warehouse team to unload vehicles and put goods away in relevant stores
* Be aware of quality issues with raw material for example – temperature issues on intake, broken or leaning loads
* Picking orders accurately to customer requirements
* Check loaded goods are correct against the customer orders and cross referencing against completed load plans

* Daily checking of forklifts & electric barrows to ensure good working condition
* Always create and maintain a clean and productive environment adhering to company Health & Safety rules.

* Counterbalance forklift licence
* Experience working in a transport industry is desirable
