Job summary Are you looking for a new challenge, do have at least 2 years experience working as a registered nurse with an interest in Epilepsy. If so we would love you to come and join our small specialist team of Epilepsy Nurses covering south west Essex. Main duties of the job As part of our team you will support the clinical lead in managing patients in the community with Epilepsy. Your duties will include holding independent nurse led clinics in the community reviewing current medications and how patients are coping with their condition, and giving advice over the phone or virtually alongside, responding to urgent tasks ,home visits to patients, residential and nursing homes,. Educating the wider MDT in the management of Epilepsy and supporting carers in providing care plans on how to manage seizures. Working closely with both secondary and primary care in the management of Epilepsy. About us Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.
