We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join their team and support children with a range of learning difficulties, helping them achieve their full potential.
Duties as a SEN Teacher:
1. Plan and deliver personalised lessons that cater to the diverse needs of SEN pupils.
2. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
3. Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals to provide tailored support.
4. Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
5. Use a range of teaching strategies to support children with varying learning difficulties, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
6. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
7. Contribute to whole-school SEN initiatives and staff training.
Ideal SEN Teacher:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
2. A degree in Education or a related subject
3. Experience teaching children with special educational needs
4. Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and current legislation
5. Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability
6. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
