Posts are available in the Histopathology Department. This presents an exciting opportunity to be part of an excellent team working in a busy modern teaching hospital laboratory. The department has a workload of around 70 000 surgical requests per year and covers a wide range of routine and specialised services to enable a diagnosis to be identified.
The department is due to get an equipment upgrade, along with implementing a fully digital reporting service. This will include increasing our workload and workforce.

Full time: 37.5 hrs per week

• The successful applicant will work in all areas of the service, on rotation with other staff. This post will provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience in routine histopathology,
• Mohs technique.
• Special stains.
• Immunocytochemistry and molecular pathology.
• Specialist section cutting/embedding
• Digital slide scanning
