We’re looking for a Membership Assistant who isn’t afraid to think outside the box—way outside. This role isn’t about following trends; it’s about setting them. From offbeat member events to interesting member Q&As, you’ll have the freedom and responsibility to make waves and help The Curious Network stand out as the go-to platform for businesses that want to innovate, grow, and have fun while doing it.
As a Membership Assistant at The Curious Network, your role will be crucial in providing our members with exclusive content and resources to help them enrich and grow their businesses. You will also play a key role in shaping the future of our Membership program by bringing new unique ideas and innovations to the table. You will also play a key role in maintaining excellent customer service and handling administrative tasks for our membership program.
Responsibilities:
Innovative content creation: Work closely with the Membership Manager to Capture and produce bold, unexpected content that breaks away from traditional formats and sparks excitement. Think outside the box to deliver content that not only informs but also entertains and engages.
Trendspotting & Forward Thinking: Stay ahead of the curve by identifying emerging trends, uncharted topics, and unconventional ideas that can keep our community engaged, curious, and excited.
Continuous Innovation: Always be thinking one step ahead. Bring new, exciting concepts to the table that push the boundaries of what content can do for our community. Propose ways to keep the platform fresh and exciting through content and creative initiatives.
Cross-Team Synergy: Work with the Membership Manager and Marketing team to ensure content aligns with broader business goals while maintaining an inventive and playful spirit.
Exclusive Member Events: Along with Membership Manager, play a key role in planning and capturing exclusive member events, including workshops, round table discussions, podcasts, masterclasses, and networking opportunities. This will involve coordinating with speakers, hiring equipment, filming, and editing content, all while ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for attendees.
Collaboration & Ideation: With the Membership Manager actively network and build relationship with industry experts, thought leaders, and site teams to brainstorm and co-create out-of-the-box content that stands out from the crowd and delivers real value.
Strategic Content Distribution: Support the Membership Manager and Marketing team to distribute content strategically across multiple channels, including the website, social media, and email newsletters. This includes crafting compelling posts, managing publishing schedules, and tracking performance to maximise reach and impact.
Community Growth: Represent The Curious Network at internal and external events, showcasing our membership program and engaging with potential members to grow the community. This will include some evenings and travel within the UK.
Administrative Support: Assist the Membership Manager with administrative tasks such as onboarding new members, maintaining and updating the membership database, and drafting content for the mobile app.
Customer Service Excellence: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing member enquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and proactively identifying ways to enhance the member experience.
Role Success: This role will be measured by member engagement and growth.
Personal Skills and Experience
* A passion for thinking creatively and breaking from traditional content formats.
* A proven ability to produce unique, engaging, and original content across various media (written, video, digital, events).
* Strong networking abilities and a talent for building lasting partnerships.
* Proficiency in content creation tools and platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, and all social platforms including YouTube.
* Familiarity with social media analytics and SEO best practices is highly beneficial.
* Experience with CRM systems, preferably HubSpot, is an advantage.
Salary £27,000 to £30,000 per year plus performance bonus and benefits package
