Sales Representative We are working alongside an innovative and forward-thinking engineering firm that provides specialised forestry machinery and equipment to wide customer base. The successful candidate will work alongside the existing sales and aftersales teams and be responsible for all aspects of the sales process. This is a permanent role based in Co Armagh. There will be travel involved so a full driving licence is required for this role. The Sales Representative will be responsible for: Responsible for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area. Ensuring that the organisations growth targets for a new and existing production range are met Maintaining current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment and attending relevant sales training events. Carrying out ongoing research of the market and business activity and identify new opportunities for current and future products. Driving a pipeline of sales opportunities by maintaining a high level of customer engagement and activity with regular site visits and phone contact with existing and prospective customers. Brand promotion and development of new business opportunities Utilising the company CRM system to manage your schedule and activity and to record customer interactions and opportunities. Contributing to reporting and forecasts of sales activity against sales plans. What you will need to have for the Sales Representative role: Previous background in engineering or technical sales Experience selling heavy plant equipment/machinery or equipment to forestry sector would be an advantage Professional level practical knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing and sales Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively. Strong computer skills familiar with sales tools, Excel CRM systems, etc Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Good communication skills, both verbal & written and people skills. A strong focus on providing the best customer service experience with attention to detail. Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines by planning and managing your time and travel efficiently.
