Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

Main Responsibilities
BBC Bitesize is looking for an Assistant Producer to be a key part of the team leading the editorial development of Bitesize into a personalised experience for UK students.
As part of the Education Product Development team you will work closely with colleagues, working on editorial curriculum and support content, to grow visitors by identifying audience trends and behaviours to inform content making, onward journeys and promotional activity.
You will have experience of analysing data and using the findings to drive change and make editorial and audience recommendations.
You will have strong data visualisation and presentation skills with the ability to explain data trends, their significance, and opportunities they present to editorial colleagues and senior stakeholders.
You will have an understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning, and how their use is impacting the educational marketplace.
You will join a team working across BBC Education’s products that includes the day-to-day management of the Bitesize homepage, internal promotions, and site structure.
You will have experience of innovative digital development; evaluation of projects and a deep understanding of how the changing use of search engines is impacting audience behaviour.
Are you the right candidate?
• Demonstrable experience of data analysis with a focus on user needs.
• Experience of data analysis tools and of building reports e.g. Piano, Tableau to analyse data to inform content strategies and communication approaches.
• Knowledge and understanding of SEO in order to optimise content for digital platforms.
• Skilled in writing for diverse digital formats, from short-form app notifications to long-form articles.
• Experience of working to targets to deliver audience growth, coupled with assessing, presenting and using audience data to inform strategic decision making.
• Enthusiasm for digital innovation and a keen interest in emerging trends in educational media.
• Understanding of young audiences and their preferences and expectations of digital products.
