We have an exciting band 7 team leadership opportunity in the Therapy team in Swindon Intermediate Care Centre.
You will be leading the Orchard Therapy Team, working closely with the other band 7 Therapists in the team and with the Ward Manager on Orchard.
Orchard ward has started Improvement huddles using Improving Together Methodology and you will be adding leadership and direction to this process.
This service will be transitioning to HCRG Care Group from the 1st April 2025. The successful candidate may transfer over (under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006) on the terms and conditions they are employed on. You will be overseeing, coordinating, and developing the Therapy service in your clinical area within Swindon Intermediate Care Centre. Providing specialist clinical support and professional leadership to a team of qualified and non-qualified staff and the wider MDT. You will be a representative for Therapy, providing service updates and contributing to the wider senior leadership team, deputizing for the Stroke Therapy Team Lead when necessary.

To demonstrate leadership including change management skills through the management of designated projects, which contribute to the department's clinical governance and service development plan and its implementation, e.g., developing care pathways, setting and monitoring of standards, being the occupational therapy lead in multidisciplinary working groups.
To lead on the implementation of local and National guidelines to meet local clinical governance standards.
Ensure Trust clinical and non-clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines are strictly adhered to at all times.
Make recommendations for changes to practice and may lead the implementation of specific changes to practice.
To undertake and lead audits relevant to the service area, disseminating findings at the local level.
