Fabricator / Fabrication Engineer Whitstable, Kent. £35-40k
Working within a factory environment to produce high quality enclosures, using a range of skills and equipment. SC clearance would be beneficial. The company will apply for SC clearance for you if you're not already.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Welding (E)
2. CNC operation (D)
3. Fabrication (E)
4. Soldering (D)
5. Braising (D)
6. Machinery and tooling (D)
7. Fabrication of sheet metal, including punching, forming, and welding.
8. Welding of lightweight steel.
9. Work is varied, and you will be involved in all the stages of production of our products.
10. Be able to read and interpret drawings accurately.
11. Meet quality targets.
12. Meet production targets and deadlines set by the production manager.
13. Contribute to our aim of reducing waste levels.
14. Improve efficiencies.
15. Meet company quality requirements and follow operating procedures.
16. Work safely and follow health and safety rules, RAMS and SSOW.
17. Always wear appropriate work wear/PPE.
18. Undertake training within given timeframes.
19. Follow company health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
Knowledge:
1. Minimum Level 3 (D) 2 (E) NVQ/ Indentured apprenticeship or equivalent in relevant skill, ie Fabrication and welding (E)
2. Demonstrate a good level of technical knowledge and processes (E)
3. Experienced in the use of the majority of the following: welder, router, circular bench saw, cross-cut saw, forklift, guillotine, grindmaster, polishing tools, nail gun, spot welder, bandsaw, corner cropper, pemserter, brake press, power press, lathe, drills, milling machine, punch press, general hand tools. (D)
Skills:
1. Good numeracy and literacy skills GCSE grade 4 or above or equivalent (D)
2. Ability to read engineering drawings (E)
