Join CAE’s team based in Gatwick as a to help support the CAE training centre network with some of the most advanced simulators in the world.

Key Responsibilities :
1. Provide software and hardware technical support to the CAE training centre network in Europe, Africa, Middle East (EMEA) & globally if and when required.
2. Travel to CAE sites to lead resolution of discrepancies.
3. Travel on an emergency basis to provide technical assistance.
4. Develop and implement tests and validate software fixes.
5. Perform tests and troubleshooting procedures as a part of resolution of discrepancies.
6. Perform review of fixes implemented with customers and authorities for acceptance.
7. Interface with the team on site to gather technical details about problem experienced with the product.
8. Maintain high quality relationships between technical team on site and OEM to facilitate on time resolution of discrepancies and delivery of programs and projects.
9. Support CAE projects deployment, updates or new deliveries in the European region
10. Increase systems knowledge and learn new systems when necessary.
11. Provide mentoring and coaching to Simulator Maintenance Technicians within the CAE network as and when required.
12. Any other duties as may be required.
Experience required:
13. Technical degree, preferably in aeronautical engineering is desirable although significant experience could be sufficient.
14. Experience in design, development, and/or maintenance of full-flight simulators.
15. Minimum 5 years of S/W design is required, preferably using C/C++ or FORTRAN operating in a ‘real time’ environment.
16. Experience with operating systems Linux, Unix etc.
17. Deep knowledge of CAE “Classic” technology (pre series 5000 and 7000) Thales technology.
18. Experience in the new CAE 7000XR devices and familiarity with L3 devices would be a useful additional skill.
19. Sound aeronautical knowledge, including knowledge of flight dynamics and aircraft systems.
20. Strong skills reading and writing English.
21. Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
22. Ability to work unsupervised and to use initiative to resolve problems.
23. Possesses effective communication skills (including presentation and report writing)
24. Demonstrates the enthusiasm character and skills required to lead and motivate others.
25. Demonstrates use of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers, Aviation Authorities, senior management, project team, and support services.
26. Able to understand, use and promote the Company's organization, practices, processes and procedures.
27. Ability to identify component/interface problems and manage introduction of corrective action.
28. Is resourceful, demonstrating the ability to take independent actions within broad guidelines.
