About The Role
Hesley Group are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Recruitmentto join as a key member of the organisation’s People Services function.
The Head of Recruitment will be responsible for managing and driving the recruitment function across the Group. This role will involve creating and executing comprehensive recruitment strategies, ensuring the Group consistently attracts, selects, and retains high-calibre health and social care professionals. The role will also be the governance lead for assurance on safer recruitment and that all legislative requirements are being followed.
The role of Head of Recruitment will not only ensure that there is an effective recruitment strategy for all roles, but will work in collaboration with Heads of Service and key department Heads to proactively develop short and long term workforce planning requirements, taking into account market analysis and demographic data.
The successful candidate will need to be committed to leading the development, implementation and embedding of inclusive recruitment processes, ensuring that diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of all recruitment activities.
You will need to provide strong, motivating leadership to the Recruitment Team, setting clear objectives, monitoring progress, and providing ongoing coaching and mentorship. You will cultivate a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous professional development within the department, encouraging innovation and creative problem solving.
This role is responsible for ensuring absolute compliance with safer recruitment guidelines, relevant employment legislation, and Hesley Group policies in all recruitment activities, safeguarding the integrity and reputation of the Group.

About You
We are looking for a proactive and forward thinking recruitment specialist who has experience of leading and developing recruitment teams specifically in regulated sectors, ideally health and social care or the education sector. You will have up to date specialist knowledge of employment legislation, specifically in relation to recruitment, right to work, visas and sponsorship of overseas workers and DBS.
A strong values alignment is essential and you will be expected to operate with kindness, compassion and empathy as well as holding an understanding of the behaviours required in others to deliver high quality, person centred services within social care.
You will have experience and knowledge of utilising Applicant Tracking Systems, with experience of working to and reporting on performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess recruitment effectiveness.
You will need to hold a post graduate degree in an HR related field and have achieved at least a level 5 CIPD qualification or be able to demonstrate comparable experience.
