We are seeking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Spanish Language Assistant to join our Modern Languages Department from September 2025.
The successful candidate will to play a key role in enriching and supporting students’ language learning and help create an engaging environment that brings the Spanish language to life by involving students in spoken and occasional written activities.
We believe that these activities are most effective and enjoyable when guided by a native speaker who can share their authentic understanding of Spanish culture, traditions, and current affairs.
Main Responsibilities
* Work with small groups of students to build their confidence and skills in speaking Spanish.
* Plan and deliver engaging activities that support the curriculum and encourage active participation.
* Develop creative and effective learning resources to support students’ progress.
* Inspire students to explore the language and culture of Spanish-speaking countries.
* Liaise with language teachers to plan suitable activities for lessons.
This is a permanent term-time only position, working 24 hours per week. All staff share the responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the students, in accordance with the School’s safeguarding policies.
