As a key member of our team, you will play an essential role in maintaining, testing, and occasionally leading the upkeep of all on-site mechanical and electrical equipment. You will contribute to the department’s goals, ensuring our manufacturing operations run safely and efficiently. In addition to your core duties, you will provide basic coverage for the Maintenance Manager during their absence. What you would do with us Oversee all mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as testing of all the types of equipment on site. Including but not limited to: - Mechanical equipment (Filling machine, screw feeders, gearboxes) Electrical equipment (controls / panels / PLCs) Pneumatic Control / Distribution ATEX (Ex) Equipment, Facilities and building assets Ensure the correct installation, testing, documenting of testing and reporting of issues with Safety Instrument Systems Assist with on-site management of contractors, including inductions and audits Actively participate in project work from the initial conception to the final commissioning Maintain and update asset integrity program procedures Utilize SAP CMMS for accurate recording and completion of maintenance activities. Support the Maintenance Manager by managing workshop and stores through: - Sourcing and maintaining of stock levels, Planning and prioritising work schedules, Implement and maintaining 5S procedures in the workshop Your qualification HNC / NVQ Level 3 (equivalent) in the subject of Mechanical Maintenance / Instrumentation Engineering Knowledge of 18th Edition wiring regulations Confined Space Entry Trained (Low Risk minimum) Ability to interpret technical drawings and P&ID diagrams Familiarity of working with Hazardous chemicals (advantageous) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in MS Office, CAD abilities, and the ability to quickly learn new software Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Ideally CompEx (Ex05-06) certified, or at least knowledge of ATEX
