Description
Oversees a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, placing safety as a top priority and maintaining a clean service area and building.
Essential Job Functions:
* Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous and friendly service to all members, guests, and employees.
* Motivates and directs staff on a daily basis.
* Cleans restrooms when necessary.
* Empties trash receptacles when necessary.
* Repairs failing equipment on golf cart fleet with yearly and monthly maintenance program.
* Lubricates and services all course maintenance equipment.
* Repairs failing equipment and inspects the operating deficiencies.
* Keeps records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment.
* Places orders for parts and supplies needed.
* Instructs and/or trains maintenance workers regarding preventative maintenance, proper cleaning, and safe operation of all equipment.
* Spot checks equipment for performance.
* Trains operators in care of new equipment and safety.
* Reports equipment failures and safety hazards.
* Controls expenses and maintains equipment budget; complies with all OSHA standards.

Education/Certificates/Licenses/Training:
High School Diploma required. Must obtain any required local and state licenses or certifications.
Experience/Background/Knowledge:
Knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment. Previous experience in small engine repair. Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions of the profession.
Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with managers, guests, and employees in one-on-one and small group situations in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in the use of a variety of equipment repair tools. Must be able to perform math computations essential for budgeting and cost analysis purposes.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. At times, may be required to operate machinery or a motor vehicle.
