Court of Protection Solicitor (Property & Affairs)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join our team in Manchester or hybrid arrangement. The successful candidate will have expertise in property and affairs cases, with a strong understanding of the Court of Protection.
Salary: Competitive salary plus an on-target bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advise clients on property and affairs matters under the Mental Capacity Act 2005
* Represent clients in the Court of Protection, including applications for deputyships and property and affairs litigation
* Prepare and file court documents, including statements of truth and witness statements
* Liaise with clients, other professionals, and court officials to progress cases
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and procedures
Requirements:
* Qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales
* At least 2 years' experience in Court of Protection work or a related field
* Strong understanding of mental capacity law and procedure
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
