We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced female Swim Coach to join our team.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and overseeing swimming lessons for female students of various ages and skill levels. They will help foster a positive and encouraging environment for students while promoting health, fitness, and sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective swim training programs tailored to students of various age groups and skill levels.
* Coach male and female students during swimming lessons, extra-curricular practices, and competitive events, inspiring a passion for swimming.
* Foster a positive and safe environment for all participants.
* Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and guidance to improve technique and performance.
* Organise and attend swimming competitions, events, and exhibitions.
* Promote the 6 PE Pillars that are pushed in our Team, including values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among students.
* Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed during lessons and events.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and development.
* Work as part of the physical education department to align the swimming program with the school’s overall physical education curriculum.
* Maintain and organise swimming equipment and facilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A recognised coaching qualification (e.g., ASA Level 1/2 or equivalent).
* Proven experience coaching swimming at a school or competitive level.
* Strong understanding of swimming techniques, training methods, and competition rules.
* Ability to work with students of all abilities and ages.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* A valid CPR and first-aid certification is preferred.
* Recent UK teaching experience or international experience within a British curriculum-based, BSO-accredited school.
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and build good relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
* A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and/or police check.
* Comfortable using Google Workspace (Gmail, shared drives, forms, etc).
Personal Qualities:
* A positive and enthusiastic approach to coaching.
* A passion for swimming and helping students develop their skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
* Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
