Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting an experienced Reactive Supervisor to oversee the effective delivery of work streams within highways maintenance in Exeter. This role is paying £42,000 per annum and is ideal for a skilled leader who has experience in the civils or TMC sector and is looking to drive quality, compliance, and efficiency on all assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage work stream delivery, ensuring adequate traffic management, materials, and labour are available.
* Oversee on-site compliance with Streetworks permits and relevant regulations, ensuring all work meets required standards.
* Audit and manage the quality of work, allocating accurate job costs daily and overseeing operative performance.
* Collaborate closely with SCCH Highway Inspectors and subcontractor teams, addressing local area needs and community concerns.
* Work with operational and hub teams to effectively schedule and deliver works.
* Engage with operatives regularly, providing visibility and support across both day and night shifts.
* Participate in winter maintenance and emergency services as needed.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring:
* ONC, City & Guilds, NVQ in a relevant discipline and NRSWA accreditation (Supervisor level).
* Applied understanding of the Traffic Management Act (TMA) and awareness of safety, quality, and environmental best practices.
* Significant experience in operational delivery within the TMC/Civils sector.
* Knowledge of construction methodologies and cost management, with a track record of resource management within budgetary limits.
* Proficiency in cost control, job allocation, and utilisation of internal systems.
