Are you ready to join a team of talented engineers and shape the future of the Nuclear Industry? Joining our established and expanding Nuclear team as a C&S Lead Technician means engaging in a diverse and growing array of both international and UK-based projects. This role offers the chance to participate in multi-disciplinary projects at various stages of the lifecycle, from client consultancy to comprehensive turn-key solutions. Your responsibilities will extend to client interaction, crafting bids and proposals, and overseeing project delivery in line with AECOM's standards for quality, safety, and environmental care.
We are looking for individuals who can apply their skills independently and as part of a team to deliver projects to the benefit of our Clients. Inherently the projects are multi-disciplinary and may be at any stage in the project life cycle. Our projects range from client consultancy support to complete turn-key solutions. We are seeking a candidate with recent experience working within a regulated and quality-assured system, preferably in the nuclear industry. The ideal candidate should have held roles requiring pragmatic design judgment and primarily focused on draughting tasks.
Here's what you'll do:
1. Produce detailed technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., Autocad, Civil 3D, CADS RC, Tekla).
2. Develop drawings and models for civil and structural elements, including foundations, beams, columns, walls, and other structural components.
3. Update and maintain existing drawings and models as required.
4. Work closely with civil and structural engineers, architects, and other design team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
5. Ensure all drawings and models comply with industry standards, regulations, and company quality procedures.

Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what's possible?
Here's what we're looking for:
1. Qualified with a HNC/Higher TEC Diploma Qualifications Academic Educated to HNC level General Education Qualifications.
2. Competent in the use of Revit and one or more of the following drawing platforms Autocad, Civil 3D, CADS RC, Tekla and willing to engage with new drawing platform technologies.
3. Competent in the ability to prepare drawings in a wide variety of construction materials including Concrete (including reinforcement Detailing), Steelwork and Masonry, with minimal supervision or competent in a particular material and considered to be a specialist with that material.
4. Be able to produce work in a consistent manner in accordance with nuclear processes and procedures.
5. Knowledge of relevant codes and procedures associated with preparing drawings.
6. Be able to demonstrate leadership of a draughting team and the mentorship of junior members of technician resources.
7. Be able to demonstrate the checking and verification of drawings within a regulated and assured quality management system.
You will also be self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously where required, with a strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline-driven team environment.
