We are looking for a skilled Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the mechanical and electrical aspects of projects, including cost estimation, quantity take-off, cost planning, procurement, contract administration, value engineering, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess the costs of mechanical and electrical elements of a project during the initial planning phase.
2. Calculate the quantities of materials and equipment needed for the mechanical and electrical components of a project.
3. Develop comprehensive cost plans and budgets for the M&E aspects of a project.
4. Assist in the procurement process by preparing tender documents, evaluating bids from contractors and suppliers, and making recommendations on the selection of vendors.
5. Manage contractual matters related to the mechanical and electrical aspects of the project.
6. Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering in the mechanical and electrical systems.
7. Monitor and control costs throughout the project life cycle.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical and financial aspects of M&E projects, excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
