The Opportunity
The Area Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to increase market share and revenue across the South including London and surrounding area.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electro-mechanical systems, with a preference for those with demonstrable knowledge or qualification in lift technology and products.
The Role
1. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
3. Generate and follow up on high quality sales leads.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
5. Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers, ensuring they understand the benefits and applications of our products at sales stage.
6. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to customers.
7. Collaborate with the internal team to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of products.
8. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
9. Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
10. Identify and communicate new product potential for development by Product team.
Key Skills:
1. A broad understanding of electro-mechanical products including product specifications, installation processes, and troubleshooting.
2. Ideally a knowledge of Lift Technology and products.
3. Strong relationship skills, including prospecting, lead generation, and deal understanding.
4. The ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to customers with varying levels of technical knowledge, including both verbal and written communication.
5. The ability to analyse market trends, sales data, and customer feedback to make informed decisions and develop effective sales strategies.
6. The ability to adapt to changing market conditions, competitor activity, customer needs, and new technologies.
7. Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms and close deals.
8. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
