Role: Principal Security Consultant
Location: Fully remote
Salary: £100,000 + 10% bonus

As a Principal Security Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding organizations through intricate security and compliance hurdles, delivering results that enable them to focus on what they do best.
You MUST have previous experience working in a Consultancy – this is a client facing role.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-depth expertise on cybersecurity frameworks, risk mitigation, and technical defences, ensuring alignment with each organization’s unique goals.
Analyse, design, and optimize security measures in accordance with global standards such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, PCI DSS, and CIS Controls.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability evaluations using tools and methodologies like CVSS, CVE, and NVD.
Lead projects aimed at enhancing security postures, including threat modelling, protocol reviews, and process improvements.
Support audit activities, resolve non-compliance issues, and ensure adherence to GDPR and other regulatory mandates.
Strengthen security operations through hands-on expertise in application security, firewall management, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Requirements:
Advanced understanding of governance, risk, and compliance, combined with practical experience in applying cybersecurity best practices.
Familiarity with security tools and frameworks, with the ability to tailor their application to different organizational needs.
Proven ability to build and sustain professional relationships across teams, stakeholders, and management levels.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security challenges.
Eligibility for or possession of Security Clearance (SC) is essential.
Additional Attributes:
A background in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in updating and refining security policies and collaborating on continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, oversee complex projects, and deliver results both independently and within a team environment.
Further compensation details:
Compensation of up to £100,000 annually, depending on experience.
Fully remote position offering flexibility and work-life balance.
Performance-based bonus of 10% included.
