GlobalData's Custom Solutions group is currently recruiting for a project manager. The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in the global FMCG sector with demonstrable experience/knowledge in this area. They will be proactive, have an eye for detail and have strong organisation skills to ensure that projects are delivered to set timelines, on budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Have existing or developing expertise within the Consumer Goods, Foodservice, Packaging sectors
* Have a good understanding of project life cycle for consulting/market research projects
* Understand the research methodologies associated with consulting tasks such as primary research, secondary research, and data analysis
* Divide the project into multiple phases to facilitate sub-task planning and execution
* Lead by example in each project
* Maintain internal and external communication; be an excellent collaborator
* Bring outside insights from past experiences and industry knowledge
* Foresee bottlenecks and mitigate risks
* Think analytically yet retain creativity and be innovative
* Interpret business proposals and convert them to actionable work plans
* Schedule and lead frequent check-ins with analysts
* Ensure the analyst team delivers high-quality deliverables on time
* Provide insight and strong recommendations for our clients
* Ensure top-quality deliverables are produced to meet client expectations
* Keep relevant project documents updated timely and accurately
Role Requirements
Project management -
* Experience within a well-regarded consultancy, research organisation, or consumer goods strategy team
* Track record in managing team members across a full project lifecycle
* Demonstrate effective project management ability to deliver projects on time and to a high quality
* Comfortable interacting with external and internal stakeholders
* Strong attention to detail, with exceptional quality standards
Education - A minimum Postgraduate degree in Economics, Statistics, Science, or MBA in any streams
Experience - 1+ years of experience in Market Research, Consulting, or Business Analytics, or a strong interest in forming a career in Consulting/Strategy Analysis
FMCG Experience - Experience in FMCG goods or Consumer industry is desired, but a strong interest in developing knowledge in the industry would also make a candidate successful.
