To perform routine dental reception duties within the Community and Special Care Dental Services in the Furness and South Lakes locality for North Cumbria Integrated Care Trust.
To ensure the efficient and effective administrative arrangements for patients referred to the Dental Service.
This post will be based at Barrow Dental Centre. The post holder will be required to undertake duties at other Dental Sites in Furness and South Lakes.
The purpose of the Special Care & Community Dental Services is to provide routine dental care and specialist dental care to patients referred to the service. This includes special care dentistry, conscious sedation, cognitive behavioural therapy, general dental care under anaesthesia, and in hours and out of hours emergency dental access. Such services are supported by a full range of professionals complimentary to dentistry.
Other essential services provided include oral health promotion and prevention programmes and involvement in the national dental epidemiological surveys and screening programmes.
A vacancy has arisen in the Community and Special Care Dental Services within North Cumbria Integrated NHS Foundation Trust for a Band 2 Dental Receptionist/Patient Administrator based at Barrow Dental Centre.
The Community and Special Care Dental Service provides high quality dental care and oral health advice for a diverse group of patients including Paediatric and Special Care Patients who would find it hard to access care elsewhere or require advanced treatment.
The dental service is looking for an enthusiastic operator to assist and complement the current dental team.
