An incredible opportunity has arisen for a skilled Head of Operations to join INSPHERE, an exciting and innovative company making waves in the world of metrology. Founded in 2013, they started by providing metrology consultancy and training to the aerospace and automotive sectors. Fast forward to today, and they’ve evolved into a key player in the robotics manufacturing industry.
In 2017, they launched their own research team to explore the potential of dimensional data, leading to the successful release of their IONA system in 2021. This product has been a game-changer for their customers, helping them achieve greater accuracy and efficiency in their manufacturing processes.
As they continue to grow, they're looking for Head of Operation to join the team and help to shape their operational strategy as they expand, especially into the US market! About the Role:
At Insphere, we’re looking for a Head of Operations who can bring their experience, leadership, and strategic thinking to help us scale our operations as we grow. You’ll play a key role in managing our day-to-day operations, from Supplier Management to Stock Control, Production, Calibration, and Installation, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll lead a talented team, collaborate with other departments, and report directly to the CEO.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Operational Management:
* Achieving key business objectives and KPIs.
* Planning, scheduling, and resourcing site work, including installations, trials, and other projects.
* Managing the Quality Management System and making sure we’re compliant with all relevant standards.
* Keeping track of operational activities and maintaining up-to-date records.
Leadership & Team Management:
* Leading the Operations Team, setting priorities, allocating work, and keeping performance on track.
* Ensuring clear communication within the Operations Team and across the business to keep everyone aligned.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
* Building strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction, and resolving issues efficiently.
* Reporting to senior management on progress, challenges, and key updates, particularly during OKR and board meetings.
Safety & Compliance:
* Ensuring safety is a top priority across all operational activities.
* Overseeing equipment maintenance and calibration, in collaboration with the Production Manager.
Strategic Input:
* Helping to shape our operational strategy as we expand, especially into the US market.
* Developing processes that scale with the business and support our growth goals.
* Ensuring our operations remain adaptable to meet the company’s evolving needs and market demands.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in managing operations within a manufacturing environment and a proven ability to lead and motivate teams. You’ll need experience in planning, scheduling, and managing resources effectively, along with a solid understanding of quality management systems and compliance standards. Excellent communication skills are essential, whether you're working with internal teams or engaging with customers. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who can think strategically and contribute to our growth, especially as we expand into new markets.
