Are you an experienced End User Computing Engineer looking for your next challenging role?
Our client, a leading Business Communications company are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Desktop Engineer to join their team on-site in Wymondham, Norfolk.
Your primary responsibility as the End User Computing Engineer is to support WLCCM end user community for the Windows Desktop operations delivering hands-on support.
You will be based on site in Wymondham and will predominately support this site but will also support hybrid/home workers as well as 1 remote site, via remote support technologies.
The End User Computing engineer will also work closely with the Infrastructure engineers to remotely support our core DataCentre assets as and when necessary.
Main Responsibilities:
1. National and regional support across all business functions throughout WLCCM and elements of the business.
2. Cover all CCM sites; Primary site for this role is Abbeyview in Wymondham, Norfolk
3. Overseeing EUC support operations including Windows desktop support, imaging/packaging, patching and vulnerability management.
4. Management of in-scope assets within WLCCM framework to ensure software and security compliance as well as physical asset management.
5. To work closely and assist execution of security initiatives with the security operations team, infrastructure upgrades and migration projects for End User Computing.
6. Monitor and manage our Service Queues to deal with issues quickly and effectively to improve service support through KPIs and metrics.
7. Working closely with service desk and taking on L2 and L3 BAU tickets through to completion.
8. Manage local site comms/server rooms and work closely with CCM Infrastructure teams to maintain on-premises server estate, respond to issues, alerts and incidents within the CCM Incident Management process.
Essential skills and experience:
9. Overseeing EUC support operations onsite supporting Windows 10 environments.
10. Active Directory and computer management for sites and users.
11. Skilled at defining standards for Windows Desktop/Laptop/ equipment.
12. Skilled in Intune, End Point Central or similar to complete PC / Laptop builds.
13. Multi domain environment support.
14. Understanding of basic networking i.e. DNS, DHCP, routers, switches and firewalls.
15. Server O/S and hardware support, troubleshooting and management.
16. Demonstrate ability to plan and execute security initiatives, infrastructure upgrades and migration projects for End User Computing.
Qualifications required:
17. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information System
18. 3 – 5 years in IT with an emphasis in EUC technologies is desirable
19. Flexibility to travel if required to other sites within UK.

Salary : £28,000 - 33,000

Location : Wymondham, Norfolk - fully on-site 5 days per week.
