The Town of Ipswich seeks qualified candidates for the full-time, benefited position of GIS/IT Specialist. This role combines two responsibilities into one full-time position:
1. GIS Specialist: Responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining the town’s geographic information systems (GIS) and related databases. Manages departmental GIS initiatives, ensuring system compatibility and continuity. Works professionally, exercising sound judgment in duties.
2. IT Specialist: Responds to Level 1 and Level 2 support calls, supporting Town users by maintaining workstations, laptops, network devices, peripherals, VoIP phones, and telecommunications. Must be a self-starter and problem-solver, responding via the IT ticketing system, email, phone, and onsite. Requires solid knowledge of Windows platforms and applications. Experience with backup/recovery, website maintenance, MUNIS, or O365 is a plus. Must possess excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 DOQ
Qualifications
* Associates Degree in Geography or Computer Science with coursework in GIS, geography, cartography, surveying, land sciences, or related field.
* Three to five years of full-time GIS experience or equivalent education and experience.
* Knowledge of GIS data collection, management, and production techniques.
* Experience with ESRI products, including ArcMap/Desktop, ArcPro, ArcGIS Online.
* Industry certifications such as Microsoft MCSA are highly desirable.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in systems and network troubleshooting.
* Minimum 2 years' experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Client products.
