Job Description:
Maintenance Engineer - Leatherhead
The Role
We are looking for a competent Maintenance Engineer to join our small, yet growing team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for any building-related matters whilst on shift. This will include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, basic carpentry, minor decorating, plus general handyman tasks. This is an active hands-on role with the requirement to work regular weekends and be available to work on-call.
You will actively take ownership of ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed, and that all workshops, plant rooms, and places of work are always kept clean and tidy. You will assist external trades as required in order for any works to be completed.
The Person
You will be open to learning and training in new areas such as Pool Plant, Fire Alarm Systems, Building Management Systems, and Flexkeeping, our work task system.
Being a team player is a necessity when joining this small but busy team. The team is hardworking, hands-on, and works together to get the job done. Effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential to ensure the team and wider business are aware of works logged and completed, as well as liaising with our internal customers and guests.
You will be professional in both manner and appearance. No job is too big or too small; you turn ideas into reality, and as a keen problem solver, you will be able to provide quick solutions in emergency situations.
Previous experience in day-to-day maintenance, and electrical skills in a building service or hotel environment, is desirable.
Shift Pattern
* 40 hours per week.
