Role Purpose:
The Finance Business Readiness Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Finance function is fully prepared for the implementation of new processes, systems and technology solutions arising from business change. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of change are managed effectively, minimising disruption and maximising the benefits of the change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Change Management:
Develop and implement a comprehensive business readiness strategy and monitoring framework to Finance stakeholders, ensuring this is aligned with the requirements of the firm-wide Change Handbook. Conduct business readiness impact assessments to understand the effects of changes on business operations, regulatory compliance, and personnel. Identify and manage anticipated resistance and develop strategies, with other stakeholders, to mitigate it.
2. Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with key stakeholders across the Finance function to understand their business readiness requirements and ensure alignment. Facilitate communication between project teams and subject matter expert teams to ensure a smooth transition. Organise and lead stakeholder meetings to ensure business readiness requirements are clearly defined and monitored. Work closely with Project Managers to ensure project plans reflect business readiness requirements and to understand any changes to project deliverables which would impact delivery of business readiness.
3. Communication:
Develop and execute communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed of Finance business readiness progress and changes. Act as the primary point of contact for Finance business readiness enquiries.
4. Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and issues related to business readiness and develop, with input from appropriate stakeholders, mitigation plans. Monitor and report on the status of readiness activities, escalating issues as needed. Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures, strategic architecture and regulatory requirements.
5. Performance Measurement:
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of business readiness activities. Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of readiness efforts and identify areas for improvement. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on readiness status and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management, project management, or a related role within the financial services sector.
* Proven track record of successfully managing business readiness activities for large-scale projects in financial services.
* Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
* Knowledge of UK financial regulations and compliance requirements.
