Role Overview
We are seeking a Bid Writer with proven experience in public sector construction to join the growing team. This is a part-time role (18-24 hours per week) with the possibility of moving to a full-time position as demands increase. The role will involve hybrid/remote working options once the successful candidate is settled in.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and write high-quality, winning bids for both public and private sector construction projects.
* Collaborate with various internal departments to gather essential project information and ensure compliance with bid requirements.
* Research and interpret tender documentation, ensuring clarity and adherence to deadlines.
* Tailor bid submissions to effectively communicate our expertise and unique strengths in construction and refurbishment.
* Maintain a bid library and continuously improve bid writing practices to increase win rates.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years in bid writing, with a strong focus on public sector construction bids.
* Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of residential, commercial, and healthcare construction, ideally with experience in refurbishment and maintenance.
* Writing Skills: Excellent written communication, with the ability to convey complex technical details in a clear and persuasive manner.
* Attention to Detail: Thorough and accurate, ensuring all bids meet specific guidelines and standards.
* Proactive & Organised: Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and stay organized.
