Shanly Homes is looking for an engaging Group Residential Managing Director to be a central Board member to drive the direction and operational performance of our product-focused residential business.
About the Group Residential Managing Director role
1. Work alongside the Board to set and deliver the company’s strategy, making sure the right plans are put into action, from annual budgets to regional build programmes.
2. Lead our talented teams – regional operations, planning, design and more – and enable them to achieve their best.
3. Ensure robust Health and Safety policies are adhered to across all operations.
4. Take responsibility for driving performance, from securing land acquisitions and planning to deliver homes which stand out above our competitors and impress our customers.
5. Build and nurture strong relationships with key people, including local authorities, landowners, and agents.
6. Lead the recruitment, development, and retention of top talent to achieve the company’s objectives and maintain its values.
About you
1. An exceptional leader with experience at a senior level in residential development.
2. A proven track record of successfully managing a large region or SME housebuilder.
3. Collaborative and approachable, able to build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and external stakeholders to drive successful business outcomes.
4. Resourceful and adaptable, finding practical solutions at all levels that align with the company’s vision and legacy.
5. A mix of technical ability, attention to detail, customer focus, commercial awareness, and cultural fit.
