Job overview
A vacancy has arisen for 2 Domestics (part-time, job share) to join our East Riding Community Hospital team within Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for staff members who are enthusiastic, motivated, and have good interpersonal and communication skills to work as part of our teams.
The post holder will assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for patients, trust staff, and visitors in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness, by delivering a full cleaning service within the centre.
Shifts will be Monday-Sunday 16.00-19.00 (can be discussed further at the interview, part-time, job share can be implemented).
Main duties of the job
Domestics will undertake the following cleaning tasks and duties during a domestic clean:
* High and low-level dusting.
* Cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms.
* Cleaning of offices and communal spaces.
* Dusting and polishing of shelves, picture frames, units, etc.
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements
* 2 GCSEs/O levels English and Maths or demonstrable experience
* Knowledge of HACCP and COSHH
* Understanding of current Food Safety Legislation
* Understanding of health promotion through healthy eating
Experience
* Previous working experience with HACCP and COSHH
* Working knowledge of keeping track of cleaning materials
* Previous experience of cleaning
* Previous experience working in Mental Health / Community Services or similar environment
Skills and Competencies
* Team player as well as being able to work on your own
* Confident, adaptable, and flexible in approach to working practices
* Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems.
* Ability to work under pressure and be able to prioritise/meet deadlines.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
