We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our Technology Practice as a UX/UI Designer/Developer.
The UX/UI Designer/Developer will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and executing the re-design of the GTT portal UI using JavaScript, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience.
The role:
1. Lead the re-design and development of the GTT portal UI using JavaScript
2. Proactively monitor and enhance the user experience across the portal
3. Assist Front and Middle Office colleagues in providing real-time technical support to traders and clients
4. Collaborate and build relationships with key third-party suppliers/vendors
5. Proactively identify and diagnose design and technical issues, taking clear remedial action if necessary
6. Ensure all issues and changes are accurately logged and tracked to completion
7. Participate and engage with the team to continually question the validity of key processes, functions, and workflows, freely sharing knowledge, insights, best practices, and ideas to ensure greater efficiencies and encourage personal development
8. Review and update key procedural documentation including design guidelines and UI specifications
9. Assist in the production of key management information
10. Coordinate and document usability tests and functional certifications
11. Maintain technical contact information of all key clients and third-party vendors
12. Take ownership of client onboarding and vendor take-on and implementation process
13. Collaborate across the business with areas such as Compliance and Risk
Key Skills and Experience:
14. Strong knowledge and experience in UX/UI design and development
15. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and front-end development frameworks
16. Experience with re-design projects, particularly in portal UI
17. Previous experience in an IT Support/Networking role within Trading/Financial Services is desirable
18. Demonstrable interest in pursuing a career within Financial Services/Technology
19. Quick learner, with the ability to question and challenge
20. Commitment to learn new skills and develop existing ones
21. A keen eye for attention to detail. Multi-tasking and prioritization
22. Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication ability to understand a business user and translate to IT in technical detail
