We are working with an established property consulting organisation in the Canterbury area who are looking to employ an Accounts Assistant permanently, in office.
Please note that only applicants within a commutable distance and those with no restrictions on their right to work will be considered.
Responsibilities
Daily Tasks:
1. Bank reconciliations
2. Banking via (Cardnet/Worldpay/Cash/Cheque)
3. Inputting contractor invoices
4. Student arrears management
Weekly Tasks:
1. Residential arrears management
2. Preparing landlord statements
3. Preparing contractor remittance advice
4. Registering deposits
Monthly Tasks:
1. TDS reconciliations
2. Managing online postages
3. Preparing budgets/forecasts
4. Preparing fee reports
Other Tasks:
1. Dealing with deposit returns
2. Leasing with tenants/landlords
3. Tenant invoicing
4. Handing out block management sets
5. Working towards relevant legislation
Skills and Experience
1. Previous accounts experience or currently studying AAT level 3 or 4.
2. Numerate with attention to detail.
3. High standard of written and spoken English, especially grammar and spelling.
4. Self-motivated with a methodical and organised approach.
5. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with peers, managers, clients, contractors, etc.
