The key role of the Planned Maintenance Manager will be the responsibility for successfully delivering a planned maintenance service within the council's social housing capital Investment programme, including delivering continuous improvement through the use of partnering relationships with contractors and the implementation of best practice in stock investment and asset management. You will be required to assist with the production and implementation of 'Crawley Homes' asset management strategy, including capital investment, decarbonisation initiatives and neighbourhood improvement schemes etc. Yow will take responsibility for managing our continuous stock condition survey programme managing a team of stock condition surveyors, plus various structural repairs managing budgets and writing reports commissioning consultants managing asset surveyors and dealing directly with the council's shared owners, property 'buybacks', the elderly and other property-related purchase schemes. This will include full property surveys (at Chartered status or equivalent) to report on age, condition, cost of defects, and negotiation on price We are looking for a self-motivating individual who can work as part of a very busy dynamic multi-skilled team, having the technical & professional skills to deliver the work as set out in the job description. It would be an advantage if you have worked within a social housing maintenance/project management environment with a strong background in working on asset databases. Good IT skills are essential to the role. We are looking for a professionally qualified individual who has a relevant RICS/MCIOB qualification or equivalent. Casual car user (currently under review) A Baseline Personnel Security Standard check is required as part of this role, and that will also entail the successful applicant undertaking a Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
