Job summary We are looking for a part-time Medical Receptionist tojoin our team based at The Whitswood Practice, one of the three GP practices inthe Better Health MCR Primary Care Network. The post is 33.5 hours per week;Monday and Tuesday 8.15 - 18.15, Wednesday 8.15 - 13.15, Thursday 8.15 - 14.00and Friday 8.15 - 13.00. This is a fixed term post to cover maternity leave, fromMid May 2025 until March 2026. Dates tobe confirmed at interview The postholder will be required to work flexibly andto provide cover for absence and busy periods.As part of this, they may be required to work Saturdays. There may also be a requirement for thepostholder to work at our other practices from time to time. Salarywill be within the range £24,169 £26,177 (pro rata for part time) dependingon experience. Main duties of the job Our reception team are the first point of contact forour patients and play an important role in understanding patients needs,resolving queries, dealing with prescription requests and either booking anappointment with the most appropriate clinician at the practice or signpostingthe patient to a service outside the practice. Youdont need to have worked in healthcare before as long as you have excellentpeople skills, a good attention to detail and you are willing and eager tolearn new skills.
