Essential Responsibilities
1. Handle all types of import / export tasks, including import / export clearance instructions, customs entries, navigating HMRC Trade Tariff
2. Raising of monthly HMRC reports & internal reports
3. Prepare / maintain reporting of current status / progress of all import / export activity to operational teams
4. Work closely with operations teams to develop processes to assure compliance with all country requirements & local regulations
5. Prepare and verify shipping documentation and arrange and monitor transportation
6. Expedite shipments inbound / outbound
7. Awareness of operational metrics to assure compliance with all import / export procedures
8. Attend and support team daily operating rhythms with departmental concerns and present performance when required.
9. Responsible for any other administrative duties and customer service as required
Qualifications / Requirements
10. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent
11. Demonstrable experience in an import/export or logistics role would be highly advantageous however if you have administrative experience within a manufacturing environment, we would be very interested in hearing from you
12. Confident and capable of working to deadlines
13. Ability to undertake basic calculations (ie. VAT and duty)
14. Strong oral and written communication skills
15. Organised with a keen eye for detail
16. Ability to work in a team environment
17. Interested in process simplification
