Position: Locum Physiotherapist in Elderly Care Banding : Band 7 Location : Croydon Start Date : ASAP Duration : 3 months Hours : Full-Time Rate : One London cap rate for Band 7, all-inclusive Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Locum Physiotherapist specializing in elderly care to join our team at Croydon Healthcare Services. The ideal candidate must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and possess demonstrable acute experience across medicine and elder rehabilitation. This role involves delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to elderly patients, assessing their needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. What your responsibilities will be for this Physiotherapist role? As a Band 7 Locum Physiotherapist You will assess and evaluate the physiotherapy needs of elderly patients with complex health conditions. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and evidence-based practice. You will monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary. You will collaborate with medical and nursing staff to provide comprehensive care to patients. You will educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes, self-management techniques, and prevention of future injuries. You will supervise and mentor junior physiotherapists and support staff in clinical practice. You will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions. You will ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and professional standards. Qualifications and Experiences: Must be registered with the HCPC as a Physiotherapist. Relevant qualification in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc). Minimum of 2 years’ experience in acute care and elderly rehabilitation. Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrable experience in managing complex cases.
